There will be a simulated plane crash today at the Saint John Aiport as it conducts a full-scale emergency preparedness exercise.
The airport’s emergency plan is being put to the test and that means people will see a plenty of smoke and fire but are being advised not to panic it is an exercise.
Please be advised there Is an emergency EXERCISE is underway at the Saint John Airport. The public may see smoke and a number of emergency vehicles in the area. There is no danger to the public. @YourSJAirport

There will be personnel from the airport emergency services along with the Saint John EMO, Fire Department, Police Department, Horizon Health Ambulance NB and Nav Canada.
The exercise is being done when there are no scheduled arrivals or departures won’t be much of an impact on passengers.
