The St. Stephen Aces have named their new captain.
Adam Crowe, who hails from Fredericton, is a third-year Ace who joined the club during the 2015-16 season in a trade with the Dieppe Commandos.
The 19 year old ( turning 20 in December ) had 25 points in 34 games in his rookie season, followed by a whopping 55 points last season and 2 goals during the playoffs.
Crowe was the second leading scorer for the Aces last season.
Crowe says he is thrilled to skate onto the Garcelon Civic Center ice with a “C” on his sweater.
He says St. Stephen is a great place to play Junior A Hockey, and notes the incredible arena to play in, loyal fan base, and supportive coaching staff, management, and volunteers.
The St. Stephen Aces open their fourth season tonight, on the road to Pictou County to play the Weeks Crushers. The team will face two more Nova Scotia teams this weekend, the Valley Wildcats on Friday, September 15th, and the Truro Bearcats on Saturday, September 16th.
The first home game of the season will be held Friday, September 22nd, as the Woodstock Slammers visit the Garcelon Civic Center in St. Stephen.
