These workers bring new meaning to the phrase “getting your steps in”.
133 workers at Moosehead took part in the Virgin Pulse Global challenge which is a friendly competition between companies where more than 50,000 teams try to improve their physical and mental health.
Moosehead’s Benefits and Compensation Manager Francine Grift says health and well-being is very important to the company and they had some staff really “step up” for this challenge.
She says the top two teams, Clancy’s Brigade and More Active than Yeast, logged more than 12 million steps in the 100-day challenge and even Andrew Oland, Moosehead’s CEO, finished in the group of top ten steppers.

Moosehead was named the second most active organization in the manufacturing category
averaging a daily step count of 13,460.
Grift says in addition to walking some staff took part in biking and swimming and were able to convert those activities into steps.
