As Fredericton police officers cope with losing two of their own, a hairstylist in the city is trying to lift their spirits.
Tiffany Wood at Headmasters Headmistress Hairstyling is offering free men’s cuts and ladies styles to Fredericton Police Force members this week and next.
Wood told our newsroom she worked on a case with Const. Robb Costello — one of the officers killed in Friday’s shooting — for about three years and she wanted to find a way to give back to the policing community.
“He [Robb] professionaly impacted my life in a great way. He helped me deal with all my problems and he was such a good help in getting me through everything.”
Wood said she figured using her talents to share some good spirit would be a nice way to show her condolences.
She said she has already heard from a few officers and still has lots of room available.
“I just want the officers to feel comfortable if they come in. It’s more of a thing to make them feel a little bit better.”
