A reminder from the Musquash Fire Department about checking tide times before going into the water.
Firefighters were dispatched to a water rescue at Lepreau Basin at around 12:30 p.m. Monday.
A man, a woman and their dog had become trapped by the rising tide, according to a spokesperson.
“The firefighters were able to launch the boat and reach the victims that were trapped by the rising tide,” said the department.
They were safely brought back to shore and checked over by paramedics as a precaution.
No injuries were reported and the scene was cleared shortly after.
