It was 48 years ago today that Neil Armstrong took those famous steps on the moon.
Saint John artist Norm Jackson marked the occaision with a painting that depicts the famous moment in history and includes former U.S. president John F. Kennedy looking down on Armstrong.

The painting was given to Armstrong and in a 1971 letter to Jackson he called it a handsome addition to his collection of momentos.
