For many it’s a great day now that service is back.
Cell phone and internet service has been restored after a massive outage involving the Bell Aliant network.
The outage was impacting millions of people in Atlantic Canada.

We are told the cause of it was a fibre network break in Riviere Du Loup while Telus is saying the root cause is a cable cut.

The Mounties and paramedics had some communication issues today but not police in Saint John.

There were some exceptions where some FibreOp customers still had service.
A lot of banks were impacted by the outage with bank machines down and some branches closed.
Full phone service has been restored, report all emergencies as per normal through 911. Remember, NEVER call 911 just to test if it works.
