Four people have died after a fiery crash on a bridge connecting Moncton and Riverview.
First responders were called to the scene on the Hon. Brenda Robertson Bridge around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Riverview Fire Chief Robin True said a tow truck and a car were engulfed in flames when they arrived.
True declined to comment further and directed questions to the Codiac Regional RCMP.
RCMP Sgt. Bruno Labbé confirmed to our newsroom that four people in one of the vehicles were killed.
Labbé said the driver of the other vehicle was not physically hurt in the crash.
The bridge remained closed until around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
