Despite some unusually warm weather this winter, Poley Mountain is doing well.
That’s according to General Manager Bill Anderson.
He says there’s no sense in worrying about weather since you can’t control it.
“So, you bear with it, and the next day’s another day, and we’re back making snow again,” says Anderson. “We’re normally done by the 15th of February but here it is and we’re still making snow!”
Anderson says even the rain over the next few days isn’t dampening his spirits.
“Rain is going to do some effect, but I’d sooner see rain than fog and wind, because the fog and wind eats things,” says Anderson.
He adds they will continue making snow to make sure there is plenty of snow to ski on until after March Break.
